4th Edition of "Wilayat-e Faqih (Foundations, Proofs and Powers)" Published

According to reports released by the public relations office of Youth Thought Center (Kanoon Andisheh Javan), the fourth edition of "Wilayat-e Faqih (Foundations, Proofs and Powers)", one of the valuable works of Ayatollah Hadavi Tehrani, a lecturer at the postgraduate level of jurisprudence and legal theories in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, has been published by Youth Thought Center.

The present book which is one of the student books collections consists of two general sections i.e. preliminaries and "Wilayat-e Faqih" (guardianship of the jurist). Important sub-titles such as the nature of religion, perfectness of religion, the crisis relating to the invariableness of religion and variableness of the world, the relationship between the invariable and variable elements, the theory of compiled thought in Islam, religion and human sciences, Islamic political system, the place of Wilayat-e Faqih in the political system of Islam, historical background and Wilayat-e Faqih, proofs of Wilayat-e Faqih, people and Wilayat-e Faqih, qualification of Wali-e Faqih, the constitution and absolute governance of the jurist etc. have been explained and discussed at length.

In this book "Wilayat-e Faqih (Foundations, Proofs and Powers)", Ayatollah Hadavi Tehrani has endeavored to explain the intellectual, theological and legal foundations of Islamic government. Considering the historical background of the subject and analysis of its proofs, he has also tried to deal with the most important current-day questions in regard with this theory.

Paying attention to the theological foundations of religious government, taking into consideration the key titles of the theory of Wilayat-e Faqih, dealing with queries raised by the young generation of the country in Iran, the relationship between jurisprudential and legal opinions concerning this theory, employing research attitude in drawing conclusions are some of the main features of this work.

In part of this book, the author writes as such: If the "political system of Islam" is explained and its political school is reintroduced, one of the foundations of this school would be the governance of the jurist during the period of occultation as the guardianship in the sense of domination over the world of creation and legislation for God and for the infallibles (a.s.) from the Holy Prophet (pbuh) till his last successor is included in the political school of Islam.

The fourth edition of "Wilayat-e Faqih (Foundations, Proofs and Powers)" consists of 147 pages. It has been published in 2500 copies each for 2000 tumans. At present, the book is available and can be purchased by those interested in reading books from the representative bookstalls of Youth Thought Center.
